Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using our websites and apply whenever you visit or use them. Last updated: 21 October 2026.

Who we are and what these terms cover

Our websites are run by Hill Development, trading as Hill Development Inc., a design-build construction group based in Hargeisa, Somaliland. We run them for ourselves and for our companies: Somdesign Architects (architecture), Universal Windows & Doors (aluminum windows, doors and curtain walls) and Hill Consultancy (supervision of large construction projects for clients). In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Hill Development.

These terms apply to our websites: hilldevelopment.io, somdesignarchitects.com, universalwindows.io and hillconsultancy.io. "This website" means whichever of them you are using. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Using this website

You may use this website to look at our projects and pictures, to ask for a site visit or a quote, and to contact us. You must use it lawfully and in line with these terms.

The information is general

The information on our websites is general. It is not an offer, not a quote and not a contract. Any agreement with us needs a written contract signed by Hill Development.

Project descriptions are read from plans and pictures. Some pictures are renders or show adjusted surroundings, and may differ from the finished project.

Site-visit and quote requests

You can ask for a site visit through the form on the home page, and you can ask for a quote through the form on the Universal Windows & Doors website. You can also ask by phone, WhatsApp or email.

Sending a request does not start a contract. We use the details you give us to answer your request, arrange a site visit or prepare a quote. A quote we send you is a separate document, and its own conditions apply to it. Please give accurate details, and only details that you are free to share. You keep any rights you have in what you send us. By sending it, you allow us to use it to deal with your request. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Pictures, copyright and logos

Our websites and the pictures on them are © Hill Development. All rights reserved. You may not copy, publish or reuse them without our written permission. To ask for permission, email info@hilldevelopment.io.

Every public project picture carries the Hill Development logo as a watermark and copyright metadata. You must not remove, cover or change the watermark or the metadata.

The names and logos of Hill Development, Somdesign Architects, Universal Windows & Doors and Hill Consultancy may not be used without permission.

We show project pictures with the client's permission, and we remove a picture on request. If you are the client, appear in a picture or own a property shown in one, you can ask us by email to remove it. Tell us which picture you mean.

Links to other sites

This website may link to services run by other companies, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and Google Maps. These services are not ours. Other companies run them under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement.

The WhatsApp button and chat panel open WhatsApp in a new tab with a pre-filled message. Nothing is sent until you press send, and WhatsApp's own terms apply to your use of it.

Availability

We aim to keep this website available, but we do not promise that it will always work, be uninterrupted or be free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time, for example for maintenance. The forms rely on our form service and on services run by other companies. If a form does not work, please contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email.

No warranty and limits of liability

We try to keep the information on our websites accurate, but we do not promise that it is complete or current. To the extent the law allows, this website and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using this website, from not being able to use it, or from relying on what it says.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Nothing in them affects the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live. These terms do not change any written contract you sign with Hill Development. If they conflict with that contract, the contract applies.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and a new version applies from that date. If you keep using this website after a change, you accept the new terms.

General

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of this website. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Somaliland. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory law where you live.
